The raspberry patch

A summer poem.

Clever fruit

All about angles

Grass brushing ankles

Just turn around

Harvest abounds

Get there, please

Before the bees

Buzz your knees

Tracks from deer

Who first came here

Too tall to spy

The other side where

The sweetest hide

Sheltered by leaves

Beneath sleek webs

Translucent threads

Invisible to prey

Once dew meets day
